PLAQUE UNVEILED

At Killina Presentation Secondary School Fr. Seamus Dunican,P.P. Rahan, officially unveiled a commemorative plaque on the 180th anniversary of the death of Maria O'Brien (Sister Mary Clare), who brought the Presentation Sisters to Killina in 1817. Maria O'Brien, who had been given the lands of the Rahan estate by her late father, Denis O'Brien, spent ten years as a sister in Killina Convent before she died on the 18th May,1827.
